Russia Steps Up Protection of Patrols in Syria
The victimless outcomes of the improvised bomb exploded under the Russian MPís armored rover Tiger on June 9, 2020 nearby Kobany, northern Syria, and of the terrorist attack on the patrolís way between Erikha and Urum al-Jauza on June 16, 2020 demonstrate the efficiency of the Russian defense ministryís policy on lives and health protection of the servicemen. Within this policy, the military expands the fleet of armored vehicles. As an example, back in February 2020 in Tal Tamr, northeast Syria, local reporters spotted an armored rover Typhoon K-53949 in the Russian convoy. Referring to an insider, North Press Agency reports the reason for the reinforcement is "the tense situation between Russia and Turkey" in Idlib.
