Russia’s defense ministry posted a video coverage of air strikes against Islamic State targets in Syria by the Aerospace Force’s long-range aircraft.

"In accordance to the task assigned by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Armed Forces concerning enhancing combat air operations in the Syrian Arab Republic, crews of Tu-160, Tu-95MS and Tu-22M3 long-range aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out strikes with air-based cruise missiles at the ISIS terrorist objects within the air operation," the ministry’s press service said under the video.

On Tuesday Russian President Vladimir Putin gave instructions to intensify strikes delivered by Russian aircraft in Syria after Federal Security Service chief Alexander Bortnikov reported that the crash of Russia’s A321 airliner above the Sinai Peninsula on October 31 was caused by a terrorist act carried out with the help of a homemade explosive device.
