Due to the lack of residential facilities, employees of the contractor operating on the Vrangel Island – LLC Spetsstroy-1 – have to live in abandoned houses, said the company’s representative. In this connection, polar bears pose a serious danger to them, as the animals get close to those houses scouting around for food.
