Russian Ships Entered the Indian Ocean for Joint Russian-Indian Drills

Pacific Fleet detachment under the command of Rear Admiral Alexander Yuldashev comprised of Varyag guided missile guard cruiser, Bistry destroyer, Boris Butoma tanker and Alatau rescue towboat, entered the Indian Ocean through the Strait of Malacca.

During the trip seamen practice air defence missions, perform tasks concerning ship damage control and they also take part in counter terrorist drills, Russian Defence Ministry say.
