Spokesmen of Naval Show LLC responsible for organization of the naval exhibition in St. Petersburg told Mil.Press Today about the plans to reschedule the event to July. Exact dates have not been approved yet; the company’s official website still announces timelines of IMDS-2019 as June 26-30, 2019.
Remarkably, one of the July weeks is already taken by another military exhibition; in July 23-28 it is planned to host MAKS airspace show.
An interviewee from Ministry of Industry and Trade told Mil.Press Today that the deferral of Army forum to the period earlier reserved for IMDS had been coordinated with the ministry.
In 2019, International Maritime Defense Show will take place at the integrated territory of the LenExpo center and the Sea Passenger Terminal mooring area. The exhibition’s contractor is Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the sponsor is Naval Show LLC.
Thus, the timeframes of the Russian military exhibitions in 2019 will be as follows: National Security Week will be held late in May, Army-2019 forum – in the end of June, IMDS and MAKS will take place in July.
International Maritime Defense Show Deferred to July 2019
New timeframes for Army-2019 forum coincided with the earlier announced dates of the Saint Petersburg-based International Maritime Defense Show (IMDS). The exhibition’s sponsors had to consider its deferral from the last week of June to July 2019.
