The AK1.6-20-1-1U airfield air conditioner based on Ural truck is being developed at the time, the R&D project is to be completed in 2019, added Vasin.
The system is designed for air conditioning in cockpits, cabins, technical rooms and special hardware cabinets of the aircraft, as well as ventilation of pilots’ protective overalls on the ground in case of non-functioned onboard air conditioning systems. According to the designers, figures "1.6" in the system index mean kilograms of air per second.
"The system stands out from the currently produced analogues, as it is used for servicing aircraft that require high airflow consumption", stressed the head designer. "The air conditioner is capable to serve four types of aircraft simultaneously, by branching of hoses. The system can be controlled from the cockpit as well".Another presented airfield air conditioner, AK1.0-30-1-1U, also Ural-based, is already produced in series.
Another showpiece presented by ZASLON is the APA-100U airfield mobile power supply unit, based on Ural truck. The system is designed for power supply of aircraft onboard electric networks, single and multiple electrical starting. The power supply unit was developed in 2016 and put into batch production in 2017. By now, two state contracts for APA-100U have been successfully executed.
The fourth exhibit is the UPG-350U hydraulic systems test unit. It serves to supply aircraft hydraulic systems with power fluid, checking and withdrawal air from aircraft hydraulic systems, and charging pneumatic systems.
In addition, ZASLON presented at the Army-2018 units of the guns with modular-designed cassettes, the premiere of the exhibition was MLRS Sel. Among other showpieces were onboard radars for civil and military helicopters, and the multifunctional radar system for perspective ships of the Russian Navy. ZASLON also displayed mobile data processing centers, products for artillery and other projects.
The Army-2018 International Military & Technical Forum is held in August 21-26 at the Patriot Congress & Expo Center, Alabino Range, and Kubinka Airbase near Moscow. As for the Russian Defense Ministry, the event is attended by 1,500+ companies that present over 20,000 products.
