Mil.Press TV: KRIZO Showed 2 Versions of NIVA Sea Jeep at IMDS-2021

At the International Maritime Defense Show 2021, the KRIZO plant known for their marine fire alarm systems presented automobile sector of their activity. The works is conducted on two versions, civil and military ones. The civil version is based on the components of the 5-door VAZ-2131 Niva off-roader. Diesel engine ZMZ-514 will be the heart of the military version. The designers expect this vehicle, yet being at the stage of development project, will be capable to glide at the speed up to 50 kph. KRIZO managers believe the marines to be the main users of the car.



In 2020, at the Army forum, the Russian security services were shown an amphibious vehicle named Drozd capable to glide at the speed of up to 70 kph. Despite the global success, so far, there is no talk of mass production of the glider for the Russian military.

The 10th International Maritime Defense Show took place in June 23-27 at Expoforum Congress & Exhibition Hall in St. Petersburg. Over 20 events, including 4 scientific conferences, were held under the business program of the exhibition. The Russian Navy ships were presented to the attendants and the delegations at the piers of St. Petersburg Seaport Passenger Terminal at Vasilyevsky Island (The Waterfront).
