Timeframes of Army 2019 Forum Changed by One Week

As it turned out, timeframes of the Army military and technical forum were agreed by the industry and defense ministries. However, the updated information has not yet reached the Patriot Congress & Expo Center, the event’s traditional venue. The center is still preparing to host the exhibition as earlier announced, in June 18-23.


The Security Week Russia exhibition that was combined with Army forum in 2018 has been deferred to May 28-31, 2019. This information is posted on the official website. Earlier, there were dates of August 28-31, though all interviewees of Mil.Press Today said that information was not credible.

Initially, Russian defense ministry did not plan to arrange Army forum in 2019. Info banners of the exhibition in 2018 announced the next event would be only in 2020. That was officially confirmed for the press by Gen. Roman Kordiukov, acting director of defense ministry’s scientific & research department.

Thus, the timeframes of the Russian military exhibitions in 2019 will be as follows: Security Week Russia will be held late in May, Army-2019 forum – in the end of June, IMDS and MAKS will take place in July.
